I dug out my cheapie white nail polish!!!
It's been years since I 've last painted my nails white and the nail polish I have is the cheapie type you get at your usual no-brand nail polish stand (assuming everyone has one) and, yes, the application is messy, as you can see, but I still felt compelled to give it a try!
So, what do you think? Would you or do you wear a stark white nail polish every now and then?
And if you do, do you have any recommendations? :)
I rarely wear white nail polish and am horrible at painting my own nails! When I feel like wearing a light color I go for light blue, lavender, or grey. I know that sounds weird but they're really pretty on!

i you wanna keep this put some black with a nailpolish which is only for drawing and make it like french manicure but black !! or put a shape or a black line only in one nail! in nails i prefer simplicity ! i had my nails yesterday black ! what do you think should i keep them? they are very rocking !!!

ReplyDeleteI personally love white nails, but only on short and manicured nails like yours. Anything else I feel looks a bit cheap, but if you do it right (like you are in that picture) I think it can be very chic :)

@Mairyliscious: A french manicure with black tips instead of white is classic in my opinion, however a white nail polish with black tips would look too harsh...

I have seen this trend in some magazines. I must admit I only use white on my french manis but I'm starting to consider using it on my entire nail because it looks cool and very wearable :)

Quite nice actually, I saw a monogram manicure, which was very cute using black and white nail varnish.

White nails were so "fetch" in high school, I remember. I kind of miss them now. I think it's a classic forever though. :)
