First of all, a huge "Thank You" to every single one of you guys, who follow this blog!!! You 're all great (no, not for following me, but because almost all of you have blogs yourselves and they are pretty amazing, as I was sneek-peaking through the other day! I promise to catch up on them soon...)!!!
Also, as you may have noticed, I did a mini-poll recently about what kind of posts you 'd like to see me do. I appreciate your taking the time to vote and I will be trying to include your preferences in my future posts...;)
So, on to the more interesting part...
As I was recently going through my (small but growing) lippie collection, I stumbled on a lipstick I had pretty much neglected for months: MAC Myth!
I think I know now why I stopped using it, even though it's an awesome nude colour: it was "too nude" for me during the winter months, when I 'm at my palest...It looked almost like I had concealer on my lips, I 'm sure most of you know what I 'm talking about...
I had to put it on with a really light hand, so, at some point I couldn't be bothered and moved on to other nudes.
However, I 'm super pleased that it works for me again and it's getting a lot of love, sometimes on its own, but mostly combined with this lipgloss:
It's the Estee Lauder Pure Color Crystal Gloss in Light Copper. And it's exactly that, it has a light crystal effect and it's the kind of coppery colour, that I think would compliment anyone. Here's a swatch of it next to Myth:
The result: a shiny, neutral lip combo that can be worn at any time and that's great for summer or when a full-on nude is a bit too much...
What's the lip combination you 've been going for lately?

This week I've rediscovered Viva Glam VI and Prrr.
ReplyDeleteNice combo.. looks very bronzy..perfect for getting into the summer mood!
ReplyDeleteIm really into Illamasqua Soul lipgloss on nude lips or the same lip gloss on top of Lingerie Pink. Its a very weird combination but it looks ok!
@lipstickrules123: Oooh, I 've totally forgotten about Viva Glam VI... Lol, another one that's not been getting much love lately...:PPP Thx for reminding me girl! xx
ReplyDelete@Tali: Yes, it has a light bronzed effect, and it's really wearable...!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, that sounds like a good combination...I 'll make a note to try this! Thx Tali! :) xx

@Victoria: Thank you! Myth is a great nude color, for sure! :) x
ReplyDeletelove that combo! and you're right, nude lips make me look gross and dead during the winter months! these days, i'm going for a slight flushed lip look although i hardly ever wear anything on my lips except balm
ReplyDelete@adrienne: That sounds pretty great for summer! I love a nude lip, but just feel the need to mix it up sometimes...;)

I did a look like your copper and myth one today using similar colors. I used mac myth topped with a Rimmal bronze gloss.. you made a great combo! A great way or warming up a nude lipstick! x
ReplyDelete@Tali: So happy you tried it and liked the result! I think Myth works well in that sense, as it's not really a pink nude...;)

this is nice! recently i discovered what a lovely peachy nude mac myth with apex 3Dglass (MAC LE) is! i love it! You can try it if you have any light orange with greenish gold sparkles...
ReplyDelete@Charlene: Thank you! That combo sounds lovely! Sad that apex was LE...! But, I want to try a light green reflects lipgloss, so, that sounds really interesting! Thanks for the recommendation!

Great combination...Always looking for different ways to wear Myth!
ReplyDelete@UnicornSmile: Thank you dear! I think with such a basic nude, there's probably a ton of possibilities, this just makes it a bit more bronzey-summery! :)))
