Green nails!?!

Ok, so, I 'm sure a lot of you have probably cringed already...!I don't blame you, green nail polish is definitely not for everyone... Had you asked me a while back (pre MAC's Peppermint Patti that is) , I 'd have probably done the same!However, I hesitantly got into the green nail trend, and to be honest, I 'm glad I did! It's a nice change from my usual purple or Lauren Conrad-esque palette (i.e.: red, black, dark blue) and I find that it can lift my mood somehow, well, mainly because I don't expect to be taken very seriously sporting a green nail! It's a fun colour, for sure! So, here's my mini green nail polish collection (so far):

From left to right we have:

Barry M Nail Paint in 284 - Emerald Green. This is a shimmery dark emerald green colour, it's lovely and suprisingly it was the easiest to apply of the three (not to mention probably the easiest application ever). Sadly, the photo washes it out a bit.
Barry M Nail Paint in 304 - Mint Green. Most of you know have heard about this one a million times already, not much to say about it, other than a huge "Thank you" to one of the sweetest girls ever, Lydia, because if it hadn't been for her and her lovely giveaway, I wouldn't be mentioning this one right now!
Essie in Greenport. The start of it all! This is a turquoise green colour and it came out with the North Fork collection. It's a lovely shade, a bit more toned down than the other two, as it balances perfectly between green and blue. I love this one, I 'm so glad I picked it up over Peppermint Patti after all!

So, this is it so far...! Let me know what you think of green nails and what shades you 've tried! :)

The essie one is beautiful!! Ive got the emerald green though i feel like its more a wintery christmas time colour for me :) xx

I was really hesitant with the green nail thing too - but I surprisingly like it! You have three lovley colours there - another one I love is MILF by Illamasqua...

I think I'm the only person ever who doesn't like the colour of the Peppermint Patti or the Barry M version? It reminds me of a colour I had when I was youner. I love that emerald one though! I think I might go buy that at lunch time :) I'm always looking at the emerald dazzle dust but never get it...might get both today :) xx

I dont ever wear green polish but i have been looking for the perfect Tourqoise shade. I really like the 3 you have.. but im still scared to try them!! xx

Gorgeous greens, that's a really nice selection! I jumped on the dark green nail bandwagon a little while ago with Zoya Suvi and China Glaze Emerald Sparkle. Recently I also picked up KIT High Roller which looks veeeery similar to the Barry M 304 - lovely

@Tali: If you 're looking for a turquoise shade, then the Essie one is the way to go....it's a lovely colour, I don't think anyone can go wrong with it, since it's not a really scary green colour, in fact it's a bit darker that how it came out on my pic! I say go for it!

I love the Barry M one. However, I don't like the green nails on Rihanna. That's too much green for me.

I have and love Essie in Greenport! I got it because I could not find For Audrey by China Glaze and it was the closest thing. I always get comments when I wear it.

Essie polishes are amazing - I need to get more!

Emerald Green eyeliner???What is this!! I'm going to get the varnish today. I used to always wear green eyeliner when I was about 16 I thought I'd look like Emma Bunton in one of the Spice Girls videos HA! xx

I have no clue where to buy essie in london! Im useless!
